"Tell the Truth and shame the devil" is a cliche' we've heard since we were kids. This saying is true; however, what if you're asked something that people aren't ready to receive or that you don't feel at liberty in your spirit to tell? It's in those times that your wisdom and Holy Ghost can lead you to simply tell the real truth and that is that you are not at liberty to share with them at this time. Some things just can't be told in certain seasons but it doesn't mean you're not being truthful.
Being honest and telling the truth doesn't mean that you have to tell everybody your business. Everybody is not ready for your truths. The only truth you should feel obligated to share without hesitation is the truth about the God you serve and what His word says.
Prayer Time:
Father God, our precious Lord and Savior, we ask that you grant us wisdom to help us know when to speak and how to share the truth when it comes to our personal matters. Help me to not even share the truth about others if it will be perceived as gossip. My desire is to speak as the Holy Spirit leads me to do. Cause me to be bold and quick to share the truth about the gospel and your Word. It's in your Son Jesus Name I pray. Amen.
